Mexican and particularly Yucatan Peninsula´s forest ecosystems harbor high biodiversity and same time are sources and benefits for human populations. Ecosystem´s conservation includes biological stations. The study´s main objective is to characterize composition and tree diversity in Biological Station San Vicente Xtun, Campeche with vegetation census by all individual trees ≥2.4 cm to 1.30 cm above the ground. A total of 455 individuals, 56 species, 44 genus and 21 families were recorded. Fabaceae was more species (19). More abundant species were Lonchocarpus yucatanenesis Lundell (kan xu’ul) y Gymnopodium floribundun Rolfe (ts’iits’ilche’) and, with 13% and 12.5% of total, respectively. Species diversity (Shannon. Winer H´ Index) was 3.246. Presence and abundance of species are probably related to human activities (fruit and honey trees crops), changing floristic composition and tree diversity.
Key words: Abundance, conservation, diversity, richness, vegetation.
