Abstract

The marine-coastal zone is the region where marine and terrestrial elements come together, featuring complex ecological systems and human communities. The Integrated Coastal Management (icm) is a participatory process for the sustainable management of these areas, taking into consideration ecological, social, cultural, and economic aspects. The objective of this publication is to assess Peru’s icm, using the methodology proposed by Barragán (2003, 2005 y 2014), to evaluate administrative and legal elements at the three levels of government in coastal areas.
